We've been calling off this red flags...
... for a long, long time. Regardless, I still feel that nobody is listening.
Then, I can't help thinking: do Americans really need to live like I lived in Cuba or like this writer did in Russia to learn their lesson the hard way.
Are you, my fellow Americans, willing to pay the highest price for your lifetime lesson?
If so, please read before you keep commiting mass suicide:

"... the names are unimportant. The Lefts true believers will likely scream bloody murder at comparisons between their philosophy and Socialism, even though birds of a feather have been shown to flock together in London, Pittsburgh, and Toronto..."
"...To be sure, they all share and wish to perpetuate a basic misunderstanding of two Constitutions -- a Soviet one that promised what a government would do for its citizenry, and an American one that guarantees what a government will not do to its people..."

Sen. Jim DeMint backs Ken Buck’s race for US Senate
Late last night, a friend forwarded me the email from Ken Buck’s campaign with the news: Sen. Jim DeMint, Republican from South Carolina, announced his endorsement of Buck’s race for the US Senate.
This morning, The Greeley Tribune and The Denver Post were on it.
Needless to say, the underdog of this race – who happens to be my District’s Attorney in Weld County – got a huge boost.
The money quote?
“I haven't seen anything like what's happening in Colorado since Marco Rubio in Florida.”
(Do I have to mention that this Cubanita over here is twice as proud?)
I remember I was briefly introduced to Ken Buck a few years ago, when I was the reporter and copy editor for the local weekly newspaper – in Spanish. Those were the days when the paper’s launching was met with a lot of resistance from the community. And a lot of rude and senseless anonymous comments in The Greeley Tribune’s website. I remember of even being accused of wanting to bring communism to the town… Duh?! I left Cuba to escape FROM communism!
Anyway, maybe because of this or maybe because of deep rooted stereotypes against Republican politicians in newsrooms, I was left with the impression he didn’t like us that much.
Despite that, since he launched his campaign for the US Senate, I liked it.
I’ve seen his work as DA pursuing not-so-popular cases in the name of the rule of law and the safety of our community (local gangs, ID theft by undocumented immigrants linked to tax returns, the ICE raids in the Swift meatpacking plant, and the murder of a Latina transgender girl). So far, he has proven to be a commonsense conservative, which is what we need in this country now. And I happen to agree with most of his stands on issues.
Buck has gotten the support of the local Tea Party activists and I’m glad he has been bumped to the national scene with DeMint support. He would be a great option to go green, and recycle Michael “Miguelito” Bennet.
Who knows? Maybe we’ll have a chance to redo the introductions… after all, if you go back to stereotypes, nobody would even either imagine that I was not your typical liberal Latina working in a newsroom.
[But... wait... the media - and in overall American's impression - doesn't see us, Cuban Americans, as Hispanic or Latinos, you know, we are some sort of white sugar-enriched dudes, despite the lack of real basis for that, I was born and raised under Castro's communist dictatorship... never mind. I'm babbling over here...]
Go Buck!

Health care reform, really?
RIP, USA as we have met you.
Welcome to the United Socialists Stated of America.

[Fellow komrade blogger at Iron Curtain Patriots FemmePatriot tells me this quote has never been proven as from Lenin. I wrote it as I remembered it from my Marxism-Leninism classes in college, back in the tropical gulag. Could it be possible they fed us the line because it fits wonderfully with the Cuban "model" of free health care? ...ha! Communist indoctrination and manipulation never ceases to amaze me!]
Anyway, so many years yearning and waiting to escape to the other side of the malecón, the tropical version of the iron curtain, for what? To end up with a soft-tyranny á la Socialism of the XXI Century of Hugo Chávez? Or is it Hugobama now?
I’ve read and posted, ad-nauseum, about everything that is wrong with this socialist power-grab. But for starters, I think we should all write these in our walls:
This is what happens WHEN YOU TAKE FREEDOM FOR GRANTED. Love my tea party partners but, for Christ’s sake, where have you been in the past eight years, even before I came to this country?! Americans, why did you allow yourselves to learn the lesson the hard way? When you do that, you always run the risk to hit a point of no return...
Welcome to the United Socialists Stated of America.
Have you signed up for your new Committee for the Defense of the Government, Rapid Response Brigade or the Internet Cyber militia yet? Well, you better get moving…

I’ve read and posted, ad-nauseum, about everything that is wrong with this socialist power-grab. But for starters, I think we should all write these in our walls:
- A mandate requiring all individuals to purchase health insurance would be an unprecedented form of federal action. The government has never required people to buy any good or service as a condition of lawful residence in the United States. An individual mandate would have two features that, in combination, would make it unique. First, it would impose a duty on individuals as members of society. Second, it would require people to purchase a specific service that would be heavily regulated by the federal government.
- The Constitution gives Congress the right to regulate interstate commerce, not to force individuals to purchase items from that commerce. And let’s not forget that no interstate commerce in health insurance exists, thanks to Congress keeping people from buying that insurance across state lines.
- Democrats jammed the bill through Congress using arcane parliamentary procedures despite the strong disapproval of their proposal among voters.
- Very few of the benefits of ObamaCare even begin before 2014, but all of the taxes and business mandates start this year.
I hate to be the pessimistic in the gang, but I feel we’re doomed. We are %$#@$% con capital letters; thanks to our lovely freedom-haters progressives, socialist coddling and youngsters-drunk-with-hopehandchange useful idiots. We should ship them all – along with Obama, Pelosi and Reid – directly to Cuba or North Korea.
If we don’t do something, my son will never grow up in a nation seen as the epitome of freedom – that was until last night. At least this Cuban mami won’t allow that.
We need to vote out all the Socialistoids Democrats in Congress. We HAVE to repeal it. It will be an uphill battle, but it could be possible; it just that we have no time to waste. The longer we take to start, the harder it will be to repeal it.
Cuba got hope and change in 1959.
Would you hear us now? The states are our only and last hope. But they have conceded to the federal government on so many things and so many times before, that I am certainly very skeptical. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers, are you listening to our plea?
I know we MUST continue with the hard work.
What on earth did I escaped Cuba for?
Cubanita out.

ObamaCare IS tiranny - Random American Thoughts
Make no mistake. The Obama-Reid-Pelosi axis could care less about trully reforming health care.
They have more vicious goals:
"... their higher goal is to irrevocably institutionalize their ideology. Once government control of health care is established, their leftist principles will be implemented by an unelected bureaucracy that rules without accountability to the general public, whether or not the Democratic Party is the majority in Congress or holds the presidency."
America in a once-in-a-lifetime situation:
BHO wants legislators to vote on the health power grab and later on, they can take a look at it to find out what's in it.
Strange bedfellows are coming together.
Federal courts should be getting ready for open season.
It's a sinking ship.
It compromises doctor's ethics towards their patients.
Darn it! Could it be possible that I would ended up sunk in another "wonderful socialized health care system" like Cuba's?!

Obama and his Constitutional Coup d'état
This week doesn't promise to bring good news in the health care department. So you better brace for impact, and hope for the best that you won't suffer a heart attack.
And, again, remember this is just the beginning.
And, again, remember this is just the beginning.
( Photo from Nobama)
Obama and his acolytes in Congress, Senate and everywhere else are getting ready for their outrageous political orgasm with the false theater behind "reconcilation". There won't be such a thing. They lie.
In the first attempt of a Constitutional Coup d'état in the history of the United States, Dr. Utopia and his enablers will ram down our throats that monstruosity of a bill. Did I hear dirty tricks? You betcha!
For our Spanish-speaking viewers, NOBAMA has the nuts and bolts of this unconstitutional illegality.
American Thinker has a summary of the real story behind the "reconciliation bill". End point? There will be none. It's a wreckonciliation! - and what on earth do student loans have to do with health care?
I know it might reads as a twister-tongue (remember their goals is to get us so confused we don't realize what's going on) but the Dems plan is to pass the Senate bill, without voting on it! Of course, they are trying to save their sorry rear ends in November... again, you are amongst friends, so you can call it Obama's Constitutional Coup d'état.
FYI, the editorial boards of several newspapers have pulled the plug on Obamacare. But Dr. Utopia is not loosing his sleep over that. The statist and socialist agenda him and Madam Pelosi dream of is way above that pesky public opinion. "They're idiots! We know what's best for them," I imagine them saying in their inner circles. Boy, we need to keep that crappy bill on the ropes. It's our last hope.
Refresher: The Big Lie of Health Care Reform

US Census, Chicago style

More food for thought on my previous rant, caused by communism-induced post traumatic stress disorder:
- Canvassers with criminal records could, after all, end up working for the 2010 US Census, and simply put, asking how many times you have been married or what type of mental condition you suffer from. That is people with criminal records, being paid with your and your children tax money.
- If I shred all papers with my personal information to prevent identity theft and other misuses of such information, why should I voluntarily give it to this gang of political thugs?
- ... again, what about my privacy? I will never believe the government has good intentions for its use. Best case scenario, it is "an axchange for all Americans handing over their personal information to the federal government, some Americans will get a federal benefit."

Quick backyard round-up
What's up, Colorado, after The Massachussets Miracle?!
We, The People, - of Colorado - also had our modest take in Scot Brown's victory in Mass. From small donations, to volunteers going to Boston to countless grassroot activists working online, Coloradans joined Americans from all over the country to send a message to the current administration: we are up against corruption, and we're gonna take our country back.
Michael "Miguelito" Bennet, you are next. There is not enough amount of back-and-forth, flip-flopping and fake hara-kiri that could make you look better in our eyes.
Besides, I personally dislike your mass emails trying to convince me that the goverment power grab of our health care is the 8th wonder of the world, when I have personally emailed you that I DON'T LIKE THAT IDEA!
In our own governor's race, Dan Maes, the Republican candidate endorsed by The Tea Party Movement and the 9/12 project, is leading Republican Scott McInnis in the polls.
Maes was also endorsed by the non partisan Independence Caucus (iCaucus), while McInnis declined to participate in the organization's vetting process.
PPC has a balanced pros & cons on Maes, which to my eyes, makes him looks a lot like Scott Brown - I know, the unavoidable comparison: a commonsense guy, conservative on fiscal issues and moderate on social issues. I'd have to say that I echo the doubts and need to learn more about him. Or we could choose the easy way, and just pick the guy that has the best six-pack ;-)
In real life, however, anything would be better that the band of radical left and socialistoids Democrats and Obama's sycophants we currently have in office.
In this case, I personally side with the indies in Colorado: I also “want the Democrats out of (my) pockets and the Republicans out of (my) bedrooms.” Which takes me to remember the happiness I felt the days news broke up about Gov. Ritter quitting the gubernatorial race. Good bye, Mr.Car-Registration-Fee, and good riddance...
And going full circle with Brown's election, while most of the country was following the results, Coloradoans didn't waited and, as other 29 states have done, joined the 10th Amendment Revolt: in the steps of the capital in Denver, a ballot measure to protect Coloradoans from the health care federal mandate was announced by Jon Caldara, from the Independence Institute. How's that for taking issues in our own hand?
Oh, boy, this year 2010 is gonna be... interesting.

The post Massachussets election "must" reflexion
The reflexion about what happened last night in Massachussets and the message for both parties and ALL politicians is clear: don't mess with our freedom and the core values of our nation.
Alberto, over there at Babalu Blog, has penned the perfect reflexion, based on a John Laudon's post at Big Government that is a must read (I read it last night and posted via Twitter but, jeez, was way to tired to blog about it.)
"Scott Brown was elected by the voters of Massachusetts yesterday not because he was a Republican, but because he was not an Obama Democrat."
We are tired of the corruption, the spending, the entitlements and the chronic and constant attitude by politicians and their cronies that we, the people, are not important. That what we want from them - as our employees - does not count.
We. Are. Tired.
And when it is our country what is at stake, we will not rest until we take it back.
I agree American deserves the best.
And if that means voting people out regardless the letter behind their names, or calling our our own GOPers, well... so be it.
And I had to add the photo because, with all due respect... C'Mon... ;-)

See? It's the Constitution!
There are many people out there that have been raising the flag on the unconstitionality of the proposed health care reform legislations, specially the one being rammed down by Baucus and Obama.
I - that so far consider myself kind of illiterate regarding the US Constitution; I had the pleasure to meet her for first time eight years ago - have had the same suspicion for quite a while.
But today, Investors Business Daily brings an excellent argument on the inconstitutionality of the fine - which we know is a tax, no matter what definition the President tries to find in the dictionary for it - the current proposal carries for individuals refusing to buy health insurance.
Follow my lead and inmerse yourself in learning the Constitution that protect us. Read why they are not interested in making the original text public for people to read it:
Sen. Baucus claims that the tax on the uninsured is an "indirect" excise tax — like the federal gasoline tax — that does not have to be apportioned. But Sen. Baucus appears to be in error. An excise tax is a tax on a "thing" (such as a commodity or a license). That is why an excise tax is classified as "indirect." People who choose not to buy insurance are not things.
They are people. And the tax is imposed directly on them in exactly the same way as a direct income tax, except that in this instance, the tax amount does not depend on the size of the person's income.
This constitutional defect in one of the linchpin elements of the health care legislation was not brought to light for public discussion by either the White House or the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.
The Supreme Court is our last resource.
But I am, honestly, not very hopeful that will stand with us, the people.
Meanwhile, TV show after TV show, and speech after speech, the President and his accolades keep trying. But the harder they try, the deeper they sink.

What on earth?! UPDATE
Via Drudge Report, comes this shocking video, filmed in a South Jersey school, according to the YouTube source:
No words needed.
Un-real.
Allahpundit elaborates more.
UDDATE 09/24/09
HotAir is reporting that this video, dated from June 2009 at B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Township, NJ, had been removed from YouTube.
And Michelle Malkin has the results of the investigative leg work, with the entire background of the video and its author.
Creepy is like, a really short word to describe it.

Constitution Day
It was 222 years ago that a remarkable group of American lay out the document that became the foundation of a nation seek by freedom lovers from all over the world: The United States Constitution. This document, that for quite a while has been in peril due to the constant efforts of politicians and groups of interest to undermine her, is the North Star that has guided countless individuals through the path of freedom.
No wonder why is a censored document in my homeland and why is being feared by dictators and totalitarian governments.
Today, is a good day to take a few minutes to think what the Constitution has brought us.
Take a minute to think of those that have never been protected by such carta magna.
Think about the ones that, while you read this, are being chastised and persecuted for having a Constitution similar to ours, or for wanting to have one.
And take a minute to go back in the history of the US Constitution; go a and see where all begun.
Remember: we should not take for granted the freedom that the Constitution give us.
PS: and have some fun with this interactive game to find out which founder are you? (I am James Madison, from Virginia)
